What is a House Church?
House churches are a big part of how we come together at Counterpoint.
A House Church is a small study group of 4–10 people that get together during the week away from the church parish hall in various homes around the city. It’s a chance to meet and discuss the previous week’s teaching, along with issues going on in your faith life.
House churches provide an opportunity to share and support one another. House churches tailor their activities to reflect the needs and concerns of the group.
Some house church groups are in to Bible study. Others just want to talk about the teaching from the previous Sunday and how it impacted them emotionally and spiritually. Other house churches might be geared to newcomers to the faith. Some might just want to get together for coffee and conversation with a friendly listening ear in a ‘no-pressure’ environment among friends.
As more house churches come on-line we will provide maps and meeting dates in the parish hall on Sundays.
